Stand before one of the most scenic and famous sights in the
Western Hemisphere. Victoria Glacier is perched behind and above Lake Louise, a
sight that never fails to amaze. Over a mile above sea level and only 35 miles
from Banff the area is blessed with majesty and glorious hiking trails. Consider
a hike to the teahouse where your efforts will be rewarded with soup, tea,
coffee or pastries. The views along the way make the uphill hike well worth it
although the hike is not recommended for those in poor physical condition. The
waterfall and lake at the summit are pretty and serene. Bears may be in
the area.
After a brisk walk or all-day hike you will enjoy staying at the incomparable
Chateau Lake Louise. This stunning hotel adorns more postcards of the
Canadian Rockies than any other spot. Millions of tourists from around the
World have gazed at the amazing color in its waters.
